About
At IPC, we are dedicated to providing superior returns to SUBWAY® franchisees. We set aggressive goals to manage the supply chain efforts for consistency, quality improvement, and profitability. By doing this, we are transforming the supply chain into a "value" chain. Only with collaborative planning at all levels of the organization, can a true "value" chain be created. The collaboration initiatives are intended to utilize better communication between the trading partners, thus resulting in supply chain efficiencies. Technology has played a significant role in the communication effort. IPCnet is an exclusive extranet system developed to connect the trading partners. It provides information about suppliers, distribution of those supplies and all of the planning that occurs in between. IPCnet tracks shipments from the manufacturers to the foodservice distributors and from the foodservice distributors to the restaurants. This visibility helps us manage contract compliance, ordering patterns and calculation of your annual patronage dividend. This technology tool has touched every piece of our business from product purchasing to financial planning. While key food packaging costs have been negotiated down, IPC has seen food costs escalate due to new menu additions. However, with these costs have come unprecedented sales increases. We applaud DAI's R&D team associates who have worked so diligently on theses new product introductions. IPC is positioned to partner with the finest supply partners to bring you the highest quality ingredients at the most competitive cost. With sourcing and supply chain efforts being IPC's daily focus, we have also been actively participating with the DAI office of Food Safety and Quality Enhancement (OFSQE) team. Safety and food quality is key to our success and we have dedicated time and resources to building Qualitynet that support the highest food safety initiatives. Foodservice distributors are a key and integral part of our supply chain. We have spent much time developing a SUBWAY® distribution program to benefit our members and to be solid partners with our foodservice distributors. IPC is developing a new set of innovative sales tools designed to help our restaurants stay a step ahead of the competition as well as significantly increase their profits. The electronic payment and stored value cards were implemented in our restaurants in the summer of 2006. IPC assumed responsibility for the Subway Card Program in April 2005. This website is designed to keep our franchisees updated on the latest IPC news. It includes valuable information on product updates, distribution news and innovative, new IPC programs. Because we always welcome franchisee comments and suggestions, this site conveniently provides e-mail contact information for all IPC board members and staff. IPC staff may also be reached toll free at 1-888-445-9239.
