About
On August 1, 2006, COTA implemented a new "Will Call" paratransit pilot program that is designed to provide same day transportation services to eligible COTA paratransit customers. This program will operate from August 1, 2006 through July 31, 2007 and is available to eligible paratransit customers with specific medical conditions. COTA has selected Transportation Resources, a non-profit organization with approximately 30 years of experience providing transportation to customers with disabilities, to provide services for the pilot program. The Will Call Service is available for eligible customers who receive long-term, on-going treatments (dialysis, chemotherapy, etc.). This service will transport customers to and from treatment appoiments. In order to assist with receiving timely service, calls for customers' return trips should be made one hour prior to pickup. This service will be available when most medical treatment facilities are in operation. At this time, the service will operate Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. COTA customers will pay $3.00 per trip. COTA Project Mainstream customers seeking additional information on this program should call (614) 275-5828.
