Founded in 1844, Rossall is a co-educational day and boarding school for 2 to 18 year olds, with boarding (full, weekly and flexi options) from age seven.
We deliver a broad and balanced curriculum: At Nursery level, we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) learning goals. We offer the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) from the age of 3 to 11 which puts the children at the centre of their own learning journey for now and in the future.
At age 16, students sit GCSE and iGCSE examinations and then have the option to choose between either the IB or A Level route into the Sixth Form. 95% of Rossall graduates go on to attend some of the top universities in the UK and internationally, and Rossall maintains an excellent record of success at the prestigious Oxford, Cambridge and Russell Group Universities.
Rossall is proud to be home to the oldest Combined Cadet Force (CCF) in the country, and is one of only four Schools with the Queen's Colours.
Rossall is the only school in the United Kingdom to have its very own Astronomy Centre and Victorian Observatory.
It is home to a host of creativity including within the fields of Art, Design & Technology, Drama, Music (our chapel choir is internationally renowned), Photography and Food Technology.
Steeped in sporting excellence, Rossall offers the Rossall Golf Academy, as well Elite Football Academy Programme in partnership with Fleetwood Town FC.
The vibrant and outward-looking round the clock community is enriched by the diverse mix of day and boarding pupils – local, national and international pupils.
Scholarship awards and means-tested bursaries (including Forces bursaries of 25%) are available.
