At Kinetic River we design and manufacture advanced optical instruments for laboratory research. Our focus is flow cytometry (FC): our flagship cell analyzer, the Potomac, is a fully customizable, modular flow cytometer. Kinetic River has a culture of innovation: We have been issued 15 US and international patents to date, with 13 more pending. Our proprietary cell-analysis technology, time-resolved FC, is opening up novel applications, such as compensation-free FC (being developed on the Arno analyzer), autofluorescence-free FC (the Colorado), label-free FC (the Tiber), lifetime FC (the Danube), and expanded multiparametric FC (the Arno HM). Kinetic River has received five competitive grants for innovation (SBIR) from the US National Institutes of Health, including two Phase II awards, supporting our development efforts. Our expertise in laser- and optics-based custom diagnostic instrumentation goes beyond flow cytometry. Beside supporting customers in the life sciences, we additionally serve the needs of fields from semiconductor equipment to optical component manufacturing and solar-cell manufacturing. We also provide technical consulting and expert witness services in the areas of optics, microfluidics, cell analysis, and cell sorting.
