Orchard View Farms specializes in growing, harvesting and packing fresh cherries. Our President, Bob Bailey, is the 3rd generation of the family business based in The Dalles, Oregon USA. We manage approximately 1700 acres of fresh cherries using sustainable farming methods on growing sites in and adjacent to the Columbia River Gorge. We hand harvest blush and dark sweet cherries from mid June - mid August. We operate three packing lines, one that includes an optical sorter. To maintain shelf life, each box is sealed in View Fresh, a modified atmosphere system invented by Bob's dad Don. We employ important seasonal staff during June, July and August. We look for quality people to help us promote fruit quality. We will begin accepting applications for seasonal summer staff on April 1, 2010 for the 2010 harvest season.
