The Central Hospital for Veterinary Medicine was founded in 1975 by several local veterinarians to improve their individual abilities to practice veterinary medicine through centralization of staff, equipment, facilities and ideas. We are a small-animal practice, which means our primary focus is on cats and dogs.
Our current in-house staff includes eleven doctors supported by a hospital team of nurses, technicians, technician assistants and administrators. Central Hospital is also supported by 10 associated member doctor clinics in the greater New Haven area.
Open and fully staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by experienced veterinarians and technicians, we provide:
Round-the-clock urgent and emergency care
Veterinary specialists in surgery, emergency/critical care, behavior, dermatology, internal medicine and radiology/ultrasound
Ophthalmology and physical therapy departments.
