Emerson College was established in 1880 with speech and communication as two of its founding disciplines. Today, Emerson’s online Master of Science in Communication Disorders program, Speech@Emerson, carries this mission into the 21st century. Speech@Emerson provides aspiring speech-language pathologists (SLPs) with a curriculum grounded in evidence-based research and the in-person clinical training needed to make a tangible, positive impact on the lives of those with communication disorders or differences.
Emerson’s online master’s program in communication disorders delivers the same curriculum as its top-ranked, ASHA-accredited on-campus program to highly motivated students across the country. Students who pursue an MS in Communication Disorders online join a close-knit, forward-thinking community of peers and faculty that support each other throughout the program, treating each other as colleagues and collaborators. In addition to live, online classes, Speech@Emerson students gain real-world experience through collaborative clinical placements that align with their goals, chosen from our nationwide network of sites.
Speech@Emerson students:
• Can complete the MS program in as few as 20 months.
• May pursue the MS degree on a full- or part-time basis.
• Learn in face-to-face online classes with exceptional Emerson faculty.
• Graduate empowered to serve clients of all ages in any setting.
Through this blended, interactive approach that meshes online learning with experience in the field, Speech@Emerson develops students across the country into confident clinicians who thrive amid challenges.
