Poly Prep is committed to recruiting and retaining a skilled, creative and diverse faculty and staff. To this end, we offer outstanding compensation packages, and we work to facilitate continuous professional development for all of our teachers and staff. New teachers participate in a comprehensive mentoring program. Every year, we bring speakers to school for professional development workshops, and many of our teachers and administrators travel to scholarly conferences and workshops in the city and across the country. Our endowed faculty chairs enable teachers to continue advanced research within their disciplines. We are happy to say that when teachers come to Poly, they tend to stay for a long time. Poly students are engaged, interested, and enthusiastic. Small classes and a campus setting help foster close relationships between teachers and students. The parent body is supportive and appreciative of the hard work of teaching. The administration strives to help teachers grow personally and professionally. Poly faculty work together in a supportive atmosphere, one which encourages the kind of ongoing intellectual curiosity and passion we hope to instill in our students. Openings for teachers are generally advertised in the New York Times Careers in Education section, and are listed with all major education recruitment agencies.
