C-Motion was created in 1997 to transfer the Move3D technology from the National Institutes of Health into the commercial market. Visual3Dâ„¢ is the product that resulted from this effort, and it was released commercially in mid 2001. C-Motion has since focused on the needs of the medical research, sports research, and rehabilitation communities with leading-edge 3D motion analysis capabilities.
Visual3D is hardware independent, marker set independent, functionally extensible, and has the most capable modeling capabilities available. Visual3D provides clinically validated, consistent results from motion capture data. Its analytical power and object architecture make it a compelling product for clinical assessments, visualizing 3D data, and measuring the performance of movement related therapies, animal research, sports related motion, virtual reality activities, and many other applications.
C-Motion continues to commit its resources to being on the forefront of motion analysis technology. Our goal is to make Visual3D the most empowering and advanced biomechanics research tool available anywhere.
