UMMA provides comprehensive family care that rivals the best private care in Los Angeles, and we do it for everyone, regardless of their ability to pay. Our facilities are a clean, safe oasis in a profoundly underserved area. A group of Muslim medical students from UCLA founded UMMA in the wake of the Rodney King riots. Their boldness, passion and faith drive everything we do. UMMA is now a Federally Qualified Health Center, we’re expanding our facilities to meet the community’s ever expanding need. And our dedication to medical students and the future of medicine is unshakable. As a teaching site for UCLA, UMMA nurtures the next generation of physicians by giving them extensive, hands-on experience treating our patients.
