Regal Plastics is a wholesale supplier to the glass, manufacturing and sign industries and was founded in Kansas City, Missouri in 1944. In 1956 Regal Plastics expanded with the opening of the Shreveport location for the Louisiana Region. In 1970 the Southern Region was established with the opening of the Dallas, Texas location by Don Walker and two partners. In 1993 Mr. Walker acquired sole ownership of the Dallas office and proceeded to expand the Southern Region with the openings of four additional branches. A location in San Antonio, Texas was added in 1976 and Houston, Texas followed in 1981. Expansion continued with the added locations of Austin, Texas in 1988 and Fort Worth, Texas in 1993. The most recent addition to the Regal group was the acquisition of Champion Industrial Plastics located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1995. In 1997 the second generation of management came about with Mr. Walker's daughter, Patsy Gono, serving in the capacity of C.F.O. and her husband, Wayne Gono, functioning as President and General Manager. Mr. Walker is still active in the company as Chairman of the Board. Since the first introduction of plastics in the early 1940's Regal Plastics has been recognized as a leader in the distribution of this versatile product. The long history that Regal Plastics has in distributing these products has allowed us to build a solid base of working knowledge and expertise in dealing with our customers who depend on us. In the past 10 years Regal Plastics has diversified into serving the needs of the sign inidustry. It is the goal of Regal Plastics to be a dependable and respected supplier as we are with the other industries that we serve.
