The DeForest Area School District serves residents in the northeast area of Dane County. The majority of the 3,900 students reside in the rural-suburban communities of DeForest and Windsor, though the District serves portion of six other municipalities in a 100-square mile area. The other communities include Hampden, Leeds, Bristol, Burke, Vienna and portions of Madison.\n\nSchools include: Eagle Point Elementary School (K-4), Windsor Elementary School (K-4), Yahara Elementary School (K-4), DeForest Area Middle School (5/6 Intermediate Level & 7/8 Upper Middle Level), and DeForest Area High School (9-12).
