Children’s Scholarship Fund (CSF) was founded in 1998 by the late Ted Forstmann and John Walton. CSF provides partial children of low-income families with tuition assistance in grades K-8, and supports expanding educational opportunities for all children. Since our inception, the lives of 185,000 children across the United States have been changed for the better by CSF scholarships worth $885 million. This school year, more than 23,600 children are using CSF scholarships nationwide, including more than 6,700 students in New York City. CSF scholarships would not be possible without the generosity of our donors, the efforts of CSF partner programs, and the sacrifices of the families themselves, who pay - on average - 50% of their children’s tuition.
