It is a member agency of the United Way of the Coastal Empire, the National Partnership for Hospice Innovation and the Georgia Hospice and Palliative Care Organization. It has affiliations with many academic programs in the Savannah area and offers education and residency opportunities for nurses, medical residents, social workers and more.\n \nThe homelike inpatient facility located at 1352 Eisenhower Drive is available to hospice patients for medical issues that cannot be resolved at home and provides respite for weary caregivers. Under the guidance of full-time medical directors, board-certified in hospice and palliative care,  more than 125 volunteers and 125 full and part-time staff are committed to providing extraordinary care. \n \nThe Demere Center for Living at 6000 Business Center Drive is home to the Hospice Savannah Foundation and community-supported programming: Full Circle Grief and Loss; the Steward Center for Palliative Care and the Edel Caregiver Institute. The Foundation funds a full-time music therapy program and full-time massage therapy program and the hospice offers robust â??We Honor Veteransâ?? and â??Pet Peace of Mindâ?? programs.
