Mission:
Maggie’s Place provides houses of hospitality and ongoing support to help pregnant and parenting women in need reach their goals, and welcomes them into a community filled with love and dignity.
Through a live-in staffing model which creates a dynamic family setting, Maggie’s Place provides for the immediate physical and emotional needs of our guests including shelter, food, clothing, and a supportive community. In addition, Maggie’s Place connects them to the appropriate agencies and resources including prenatal care, health insurance, low-cost housing, and education programs. Guests can stay up to six months post-delivery (and often longer, depending on situation) and are required to engage in 40 hours of productive activity per week during their stay, as well as participate in a mandatory savings program. Once guests leave the home, they become a part of our Alumnae Outreach program, which provides ongoing support in the form of social outings, training and educational opportunities.
Maggie's Place operates homes in metropolitan Phoenix and in Cleveland, Ohio, and also runs a social enterprise store, Maggie's Thrift, in downtown Phoenix.
