UMass Amherst's College of Information and Computer Sciences offers a world-class curriculum in support of Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral degrees. Currently, 317 graduate students (169 PhD-track and 148 MS-track), 1,019 undergraduate majors, and 2,600 classroom students enjoy a broad and comprehensive teaching and mentoring program that provides a solid foundation for a lifetime of learning. The B.S. and M.S. programs thoroughly prepare students for advanced careers within the computer industry.
The College of Information and Computer Sciences is remarkably committed to multi-disciplinary research, with faculty members and students engaged in an unusually large number of projects involving other disciplines. Our research funding exceeded $22.7 million in FY 2016, coming from private industry and all levels of government. CICS maintains significant research collaborations with more than 40 industry-leading technology companies.
