BlackFin operates as an influential investor through majority or minority shareholder alongside founders, managers or institutional investors, and supports the management teams in taking their businesses to the next level. The BlackFin team has substantially contributed to develop its portfolio companies by supporting them in growing organically, improving operating margins and also through an active buy and build strategy. Transactions have so far been completed in France, Germany, Italy, the Benelux and Switzerland, from its four offices in Paris, Brussels, Frankfurt and Amsterdam. The firm manages two growth / buyout funds: Fund I (€220m raised in 2011) and Fund II (€400m raised in 2016), and a venture fund dedicated to fintechs, insuretechs, regtechs (€180m raised in 2018), backed by a solid base of international institutional investors.
