Inspiring hope and supporting recovery for people with mental illness by establishing and operating social, vocational, recreation, advocacy and housing programs that support people in their own communities. MPA Society is a registered charitable organization (or non-profit) that was founded in 1971. The Society works to support people with mental health challenges through offering a variety of supports and services, including housing and advocacy. Today, MPA operates 28 programs throughout the lower mainland including: Court services Supported and licensed housing programs A Resource Centre in Kitsilano Housing and hotel outreach services We have approximately 230 employees and an annual operating budget of approximately $17 million. MPA Society's vocational, recreational, advocacy and housing programs support people in their own communities.
