Management and Network Services (MNS) was founded in 1996 by NCS HealthCare, an independent provider of pharmacy and ancillary services to long-term and acute-care facilities, based in Cleveland, Ohio. NCS recognized the need to create a program which would benefit affiliated providers as they strived to operate in an emerging managed care environment as well as the synergies that would be created by the program. The first contract MNS received was with a large insurance carrier; the contract enabled MNS to provide statewide rural coverage for their commercial products. Coverage soon expanded statewide to include urban areas and their Medicare product. The initial operations team developed cutting edge information systems that had the capability to track managed care patient data. Additionally, the team developed an affiliated provider credentialing program which qualified MNS for subcontracted delegated skilled nursing provider credentialing. The team marketed the concept to other payors, negotiated contracts and developed a network of affiliated providers (facilities) that would satisfy the demands of an ever changing payor market.Management and Network Services L.L.C Address
