Silvec has discovered a new type of RNA that can be used to deliver beneficial traits to trees, vines, and bushes, without impacting their genomes. Its proprietary products can be applied via a single graft taking minutes to perform in seedlings or mature trees that induce them to produce their own anti-pathogenic or trait enhancing agents for the remainder of their lives. It does not damage them in any way, is not heritable, and does not spread from tree-to-tree. In January 2020, we successfully inoculated the first plant in history against a deadly disease. We believe this represents a comparable breakthrough for trees as the invention of vaccines and antibiotics have had for humans.
