The story of Samson Investment Company begins with one individual - Charles Schusterman. Throughout our early years as a growing independent oil and gas company, through boom and bust, domestic acquisition to international expansion, the well-oiled gears of Samson's corporate machine propelled a small Tulsa-based company to the forefront of U.S. independent oil and gas producers. Thirty years ago Charles Schusterman set out to carve a niche in the energy industry. He sought to do this by seeking out and cultivating that most precious human resource: Commitment to excellence. Although Charles died on December 30, 2000, at a young 65, he left a corporate and employee base well-grounded to meet future business challenges and opportunities.
