Mainstream Renewable Power is a global renewable energy company estabished in 2008 to develop, construct and operate wind and solar PV projects in high-growth emerging markets. It has around 9,000 megawatts in development and nearing financial close, 280 megawatts in construction and 524 megawatts delivered into operation safely, on time and on budget.

This is a comprehensive in-house Project Development Process which we adhere to across all our markets, ensuring the highest standards are upheld, consistently and thoroughly in project development.
A substantial part of the development process is focused on working with the communities where we develop projects and through various community initiatives, we add substantial value through educational projects. Some examples include; the Ventolera y Ventarron programme in Chile or in South Africa where initiatives have included the new build of a jungle gym and the donation of mobile book libraries (with 800 books) to another two primary schools.
Mainstream is committed to global partnerships and, we have partnered with Actis, a global pan-emerging market private equity firm to create generation platforms; Aela Energia and Lekela Power. Both companies have achieved significant success already in Chile and Africa respectively.
