Founded in 1973, the School of Dental Medicine (SDM) is one of the six health sciences schools of Stony Brook Medicine. Renowned for its excellent educational and clinical programs, the SDM is a leader in innovative and technically advanced curriculum, translational research, cutting-edge technology, and in the delivery of oral health care services in its clinical facility, the Dental Care Center (DCC). The SDM is fully accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation and the New York State Education Department.
