About
The Aging Life Care Association® (ALCA) – formerly known as the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers – is a non-profit association representing more than 2,000 Aging Life Care Professionals™ - also known as geriatric care managers. ALCA members act as a guide and advocate for families who are caring for older relatives or disabled adults, ensuring that they live well as they face the challenges of aging. The Aging Life Care Professional is educated and experienced in any of several fields related to aging life care / care management, including, but not limited to nursing, gerontology, social work, or psychology, with a specialized focus on issues related to aging and elder care. ALCA members must meet stringent education, experience, and certification requirements of the organization, and all members are required to adhere to a strict code of ethics and standards of practice. To find an Aging Life Care Professional in your area, visit aginglifecare.org. For information on membership with ALCA, email cdaters@aginglifecare.org. Founded in 1985, ALCA has become the recognized leader in the Aging Life Care / geriatric care management profession. Media, educators, employers, and professional societies often call upon the association and its members to speak on topics related to elder care.
