Orbis is a shared services partnership between Brighton and Hove City Council, East Sussex County Council, and Surrey County Council. Our purpose is to deliver greater value for our councils, residents and customers. We do this by generating efficiencies and exploiting the benefits of sharing people, resources and technology.
Our integrated services include Procurement, Finance, Human Resources and Organisational Development, IT and Digital, Property, Business Operations, and Revenues and Benefits. We also provide business services to over 450 schools and 150 academies, numerous district, borough and town councils, and several healthcare providers. Our aim is to grow our influence by working with like-minded organisations who believe as we do, that greater things can be encompassed through true integration and partnership working.
Today, Orbis is the largest local government shared service partnership of its’ kind in the UK. We know that our people are our greatest asset and are the key to successful partnership working.
