At the Ohio Department of Agriculture, we work every day to
protect the public and safeguard the state's plants and animals,
while at the same time allowing responsible agricultural
production to thrive. With a staff of approximately 430, ODA
administers numerous regulatory, food safety, consumer
protection, plant health and animal care programs for the
benefit of all Ohioans. The department also helps create greater
economic opportunity for Ohio's farmers and processors, and
works to preserve and enhance Ohio's resources.
