New River Electrical Corporation's vision began well before the company was established in 1953. Sherrill W. Stockton, the firm's founder, who was a chief electrician in the Navy, envisioned the opportunity for other reputable outside contractors for the major utilities. Mr. Stockton possessed the experience and moral character that were instrumental in developing the core direction of the company. From the first contract with Ohio Power Company to build a small distribution substation, New River Electrical has grown into a diversified and progressive company of over 500 employees and is registered to conduct business in 29 states, the District of Columbia and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. The firm takes pride in its ability to meet the challenges presented by the ever-increasing technological advances associated with the complex systems required by our customers.
