This is achieved as a team effort through the JEG Safety Committee, field personnel, union affiliates, insurance carriers, subcontractors and various industry-wide construction associations. The initiatives of this group include: Safety inspections conducted by a full-time safety coordinator Trending statistics of injuries and their causes to keep efforts focused Training programs distributed weekly and monthly for field personnel including a 10-hour OSHA equivalent course called MustBSafe Accident investigations by our project supervisors in conjunction with the JEG Safety Department Rigorous Drug Testing Program in conjunction with the MustBSafe Program for our personnel As a direct result of these practices, John E. Green Company falls well below the industry "Experience Modification Rate" and for the past five years has held a recordable incident rate well below the industry average for mechanical contractors. The John E. Green Company Safety Department consists of highly trained and dedicated safety professionals that work exclusively on company safety. Every project receives regular safety visits including site inspections, safety training and open communication between the project supervisor and safety personnel. The health and safety of our employees is our number one concern.
