Students from the Math Science Academy in partnership with Harrisburg Inner City Outings went on the third annual Juniata River Sojourn. The Sojourn was an exciting outing for the students, providing a culmination to the 2010-2011 school year. With the help of Susquehanna River Outfitters, who provided transportation and boats, the group paddled from Greenwood to Howe Township access site. During the trip a group of students spotted an eagle as they navigated through the swift and cool water. Overall the trip was a positive experience for students, volunteers, and ICO leaders. Students learned about the health, and ecology of the river, along with having a great camp experience.
