Founded in 1989, CanWel Building Materials Group Ltd is headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia and trades on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol CWX. CanWel distributes a wide range of building materials, lumber, and renovation products, and is Canada’s only fully vertically integrated national distributor in the building materials and related products sector. \n\nIn March 2019, CanWel acquired Vancouver-based Lignum Forest Products LLP, which is now part of the building materials division. Additionally, CanWel operates treating plants and planing facilities in Canada and the United States, with distribution centres in all major cities and strategic locations across Canada and the west coast of the United States. CanWel’s U.S. treating and distribution division includes the wholly-owned Honsador Building Products Group that has locations in Hawaii and Oregon, as well as California Cascade, which is located in Sacramento, Woodland, Fontana, and Oregon.\n\nCanWel’s Fibre division operates a vertically-integrated forest products company based in Canada with activities from British Columbia to Saskatchewan, and the U.S. Pacific Northwest.
