Semihandmade was founded by John McDonald in 2011 and was originally a one-man shop. Today, it employs 50+, has fulfilled over 20,000 projects across the United States, and has been named to Inc. Magazine’s fastest-growing private US companies list since 2015. Our new HQ, located in Monrovia, CA, is now open. We also have showrooms in cities across the US, including Minneapolis, Chicago, and soon, a new space in New York City. We offer stylish, practical cabinet doors that fit Ikea kitchen, bath, and storage systems. Why? Because Ikea understands better that any other furniture company in the world that you don’t have to overpay for a quality product that is smart, easily-accessible, and versatile. The beauty of their system is the ability to purchase their cabinets without having to buy their doors, which is where we come in. We’ve collaborated with designers Sarah Sherman Samuel and Chris Loves Julia on collections to expand upon our core cabinet styles. We regularly work with designers, architects, and homeowners on standout renovation projects.
