Holly Energy Partners, L.P. (HEP) operates a system of refined product and crude oil pipelines, storage tanks and distribution terminals primarily in west Texas, New Mexico, Utah and Arizona. The Company generates revenues by charging tariffs for transporting refined product and crude oil through its pipelines and by charging fees for terminalling refined products and other hydrocarbons, and storing and providing other services at the Company’s terminals. HEP does not take ownership of products that it transports or terminal. It serves Holly Corporation’s (Holly) refineries in New Mexico and Utah under three 15-year pipeline, terminal and tankage agreements with Holly. It also serves the Alon USA, Inc. (Alon) Big Spring, Texas refinery (Big Spring Refinery) under the Alon pipelines and terminals agreement expiring in 2020 (Alon PTA).
