Quantico was formed in 2012, with the goal of developing a Machine Learning algorithm that could match the output of conventional LWD and wireline technology, specifically for elastic log prediction (e.g. DTC, DTS & RHOB). This development resulted inQLog which was tested through several proofs of concept exercises by Shell, Equinor, and Nabors Drilling prior to them becoming Quantico's principal investors. Since then, Quantico has developed several other technologies based on Machine Learning such as QEarth for reservoir characterization, QFrac and QDrill for enhancing the efficiency of Completions practices and Drilling, respectively.
