We operate with a simple mission: to enhance transparency around the customer service of online businesses. Our goal is to guide online consumers to the sites that maintain the highest quality customer care. We accomplish this goal by rigorously and consistently testing each company's customer service performance as if we were customers ourselves. For each online business we evaluate, we conduct usability tests, we order (and return) several products nationwide, and we engage in over a dozen interactions with each company's customer service representatives via phone, email and live chat. In essence, we test the waters for each site first and then report back via our STELLA Ratings.
