The Fox Fund teaches students about the capital markets through managing a virtual portfolio of U.S. equities. The ultimate goal of the Fox Fund is to prepare students to help manage a portion of Temple's endowment in The Owl Fund, and for their careers thereafter. During the semester, ~50 students will break into groups to cover the six sectors of the stock market, as outlined by GICS. spend six weeks learning about equity screening, financial statement analysis, intrinsic and relative valuation, and 6 weeks preparing two Initiating Coverage Reports and stock presentations. The teams then present their recommendations to their peers and track the recommended companies' performance through the rest of the semester.
