Seed Effect is a Christ-centered economic development organization. Our mission is to plant the seeds that overcome poverty by providing access to economic empowerment, education, and spiritual discipleship in marginalized communities around the world. Together, with the support of our generous partners, we are challenging the status quo. Through Seed Effect, we're challenging the belief that refugees and the materially poor aren't capable and are in need of a hand out. We believe and have seen that with the right tools, they can and want to provide for their families with dignity. We believe that introducing them to Jesus and empowering them to repair broken relationships is essential if our desire is true transformation. And we believe that we are called to invest in the hard places and that how we help truly matters. After working in South Sudan for seven years, Seed Effect is currently serving over 26,000 South Sudanese refugees and Ugandan nationals through our Christ-centered, savings-led microfinance program in northern Uganda.
