Our Cable-Based Capacitor (CBC) innovation provides the cleantech and electronics industries with new opportunities that we are very excited about. The CBC can be used where no supercapacitor has gone before, inside the world's wiring infrastructure. With applications ranging from solar power systems and smart home electronics to electric vehicles, we envision a world powered by a discrete and distributed network of energy storage. The CBC is a flexible and wire-shaped supercapacitor featuring ~3F of capacitance rated to 1.6V. The unique value of the CBC lies in its flexible, wire-shape form factor. The CBC can be embedded within a product or system's wiring infrastructure to: 1. Add energy storage capabilities with space savings and aesthetic advantages. 2. Complement existing energy storage products being used (peak-power support). 3. Miniaturize electronics by offsetting capacitors from the circuit board to its connected wiring infrastructure.
