The County of Maui is a four-island county, consisting of the islands: Maui, Moloka`i, Lana`i, and Kaho`olawe. The County of Maui is the second largest of four counties in the State of Hawai`i comprising of an estimated 164,637 population. (2015, U.S. Census Bureau) The County of Maui provides a range of services, including public safety (police, fire and public prosecutor), sanitation, social services, culture and recreation, transportation, planning and zoning, and the construction and maintenance of streets and highways.
