Austbrokers Holdings first established the Austbrokers Network in 1985 to give individual insurance brokers the ability to access the benefits of a larger group while maintaining their independence. This was followed by the aquisition of FWR in 2008. In late 2009, Austbrokers Sydney Pty Ltd changed its trading name to Austbrokers ABS.
