DIGITAL OPPORTUNITY, SAFETY, AND CITIZENSHIP The SecDev Foundation is a Canadian-based think-do tank that works at the interface of security, development and the game-changing impacts of cyberspace. We are committed to building better digital futures for all. We operate globally — with civil society networks, industry and governments — to help communities pursue digital opportunity, safety and citizenship. We work to ensure all of our partners and beneficiaries — especially women and youth — have the skills and knowledge they need to become great digital citizens, and protect themselves from digital harm. We help societies navigate the emerging opportunities of the global digital economy, which is founded on savvy digital citizens. We trigger new ways of thinking and co-designing digital tools to build local capacities. And, in countries affected by conflict and war, we support local communities to leverage digital pathways to peace and resilience. The SecDev Foundation is a Canadian-based NGO with current operational programming in the Middle East and North Africa, Southeast Asia, Latin America, and the Eurasian region. Our work has been supported by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), The Foundation's work has been supported by governments and donors in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
