Founded in 2005 by 1,000 digital activists, the Open Rights Group is the UK's leading voice defending freedom of expression, privacy, innovation, consumer rights and creativity on the internet. We campaign to change public policy whenever citizens' or consumers' rights are threatened. We do this by talking to policy-makers and mobilising our supporters to stop bad laws in the UK and EU. We are funded by donors, mostly by people like you. We depend on regular contributions to run and win our campaigns. Our core staff is backed by the Advisory Council, Board of Directors and a wider network of campaigning volunteers.
