The Rosina tradition began in 1963 as a small store front sausage business in Buffalo, NY servicing neighborhood meat markets, supermarkets and restaurants. This family owned business was founded by James Corigliano and named after his wife Rose, which in Italian translates to Rosina. Rose and James’ sons Frank and Russell joined the company in the mid 1970’s as the business continued to grow. In 1981, a new larger facility was purchased which allowed Rosina to expand into new markets and make their products available nationally. In 1997, Russell became President & CEO, and Frank became Executive Vice President as they assumed responsibility for the day-to-day operations. James was Chairman of the Board for fifteen years, and has recently passed in July of 2012, and Rose, while she remains the inspiration for our recipes, imparts the Italian traditions to the next generation of her family. Continuing our mission of growth, Rosina Food Products, Inc. through its parent company, Rosina Holdings, Inc., made two key acquisitions since 2000. Celentano Brothers of Verona, NJ, a company with a similar history and rich in its family tradition was acquired in 2000. The Celentano product line allowed Rosina to expand into frozen Italian entrees, filled pasta and eggplant products. In December of 2002, Rosina purchased a 90,000 square foot facility in West Seneca, NY which was renovated for the production of ravioli, specialty pasta and entrées.
