Athletics Australia is the peak body for athletics in Australia and the Member Associations are its members. A recently signed joint venture with Little Athletics Australia, with support from the Australian Sports Commission, has the goal of increasing participation in athletics by improving the athletics pathway from LAA to AA and developing improved alignment between the two organisations. In the high performance area, AA, in collaboration with the institute system, is the standard bearer of elite athletics in Australia and with this mantle comes an exceptional level of responsibility, accountability and expectation. At London 2012 we finished eighth on the Olympic medal table with gold for Sally Pearson and two silvers from Mitchell Watt and Jared Tallent. While at the Paralympics we finished 10th, with 27 medals, five of which were gold.Athletics Australia Address
