About
Heartland is a biotech company that engineers hemp fibers as additives to plastics. Our hemp additives make plastics stronger, lighter, cheaper, and more sustainable. Our team focuses on creating a reliable supply chain of carbon-negative hemp materials that can be leveraged by manufacturers across market sectors. Manufacturers that are already procuring large amounts of plastic are able to use hemp additives to maintain strength while reducing the cost, weight, and carbon footprint of their raw materials. Almost everything that can be seen or touched is made from plastic, rubber, foam, wood, paper, ceramic, and building materials. Over time, it's become clear that all of the materials we rely on every day have a really high carbon footprint. It's our responsibility to figure out how we can collectively reduce the negative impact that these raw materials have on our planet. Infusing hemp additives into these existing raw materials allows manufacturers to increase the performance and reduce the carbon footprint of the products they're already manufacturing. Join us as we make a world out of hemp.
