Fox Valley Metal-Tech is a company that was founded by three skilled fabricators with a vision of quality and manufacturing efficiency. Fox Valley Metal-Tech was incorporated in 1989, began manufacturing parts in 10,000 SF of space and since then, has grown to 74,500 SF. In 1994 Fox Valley Metal-Tech built a new facility with 18,000 SF. Growth of the business continued requiring several additions to meet customer satisfaction requirements. In 1996 the shop was increased by 11,250 SF. In 1996 the office space was increased by 3,500 SF. A second shop expansion was completed in 1998 adding an additional 11,250 SF. As Fox Valley Metal-Tech's reputation for quality custom parts grew so did the request for larger fabrications. In order to satisfy those customer requests, a 24,000 SF addition was made in 2001. The building expansion included higher ceilings and a 10 ton bridge crane to facilitate construction of larger fabrications. The new building expansion has been used for some large fabrications including aluminum pilot houses for the United States Navy, shock proof electrical cabinets for use on a aircraft carrier, watertight sliding doors, mission hatch, aluminum superstructure and mast on the Littoral Combat Ship "Freedom", and other projects for our customers. In 2005 a pallet storage system was added to the 24,000 SF addition with over 900 pallet locations. The storage system is used to manage customer inventories for Vendor Managed Inventory programs and to store work in progress as larger fabrications are completed. Two additional 10 ton bridge cranes were added to the 24,000 SF addition, one in 2006 and one in 2008. In 2004 Fox Valley Metal Tech was acquired by a private investment group including two of the original founders. Fox Valley Metal-Tech's team of highly skilled employees and a state-of-the-art manufacturing environment was poised to continue its growth. Several key investments stimulated and supported the company's growth pattern. In 2005 Fox Valley Metal-Tech became ISO 9001-2000 certified and in 2006 installed a new laser cutting system with the largest automation system in the United States provided by Mitsubishi. In 2006 Fox Valley Metal-Tech was honored to have the President of the United States of America visit and tour our facility. President Bush meet several of our employees during his visit and tour and commented on the skills of the employees that worked at Fox Valley Metal-Tech. President Bush spoke of the importance of small businesses like Fox Valley Metal-Tech in their role in the economy and creating jobs for the Wisconsin workforce. In February of 2008, Fox Valley Metal-Tech was nominated as 2007 Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year. Fox Valley Metal-Tech sales had double since 2004 and customer satisfaction of total quality is at the highest levels measured in the company's history. Additional manufacturing space is being added to the facility. In July of 2008 a 35,500 SF building addition was started. Completion of the building is planned for Dec. 2008. An area of 22,500 SF will contain additional work areas for welding, finishing, machining and press brake opperations. An area of 13,000 SF will be adjacent to existing fabrication and assembly area and will be serviced by four (4) 10 Ton Bridge Cranes with two (2) 5 Ton Hoists on each Bridge.Fox Valley Metal-Tech Address
