About
Ellsworth Dairy Cooperative is based in the Heart of Wisconsin's Dairyland in the town of Ellsworth, Wisconsin, and was proclaimed the "Cheese Curd Capital of Wisconsin " by Governor Anthony S. Earl in 1984. Our 450 proud dairy farm family owners live near Ellsworth, throughout Wisconsin, and into Minnesota. We formed our cooperative in 1910 to manufacture and sell butter. In 1966, we began our first expansion by making cheese. Two years later, we began our second expansion by selling packaged curds. Today we produce about 160,000 pounds of 100% All Natural Premium Cheddar Cheese Curds each day. Ellsworth Cooperative Creamery accepts only farmer certified rBST free milk! We have a nine-member board of directors elected from its membership to uphold our mission statement which is to maintain the true meaning of a cooperative by enhancing returns to our owners as much as possible while treating them fairly and equitably. We will continue to upgrade our facility and provide a good work environment while producing superior quality dairy products.
