Our Company
In the early 1990s, Acme recognized the movement away from extensive customer-owned inventory, and that the marketplace needed suppliers with an understanding of supply-chain management.
While many progressive buyers were searching for the one special vendor that would truly vest itself in the customer's success, most corrugated manufacturers had little interest in meeting customers' Real-Time manufacturing demands.
It has always been obvious to us that supplier requirements have little to do with the true needs of the customer. But we determined that we could become a true partner to our customers, and we made our Real-Time concept a 100% corporate commitment. In other words, we put our customers' needs first: our customers could now choose their own speed of delivery.
We've been able to accomplish this because Acme actively pursued the theory of "overcapacity," a way to produce product in a more time-sensitive manner. This is a very different manufacturing technique than the traditional one of producing what fits the box manufacturers time schedule and and in doing so turning customers requests into a secondary priority.
Instead of filling our warehouse and shipping from existing inventory, we're completely order-based, meaning that every order received is a priority and is manufactured as needed, in Real-Time. That's important to you because it allows you to:
.. Increase your space for manufacturing
.. Maintain minimal box inventory, guaranteeing freshness of product with less chance of damage
.. Reduce your labor and handling costs
.. Free up your cash flow
And that means you receive a quality product, whenever you want it, at a price that doesn't bust your budget.
