Arizona’s first state legislature in 1912 enacted a provision forming the Arizona Schools for the Deaf and Blind. For over 100 years, ASDB has provided a well-rounded quality education through a variety of classes, sports, extracurricular activities, events and other programs for students.
ASDB Early Childhood and Family Education Programs: Birth to 3 years old
ASDB Early Childhood and Family Education (ECFE) provides the Arizona Early Intervention Program (AzEIP) services for Arizona’s children, birth to 3 years old, who have a diagnosed bilateral, permanent hearing loss and/or a medically diagnosed visual impairment. This statewide program is designed to work in cooperation with other agencies and programs.
ASDB Tucson and Phoenix Campuses
ASDB provides a full array of educational and support services to students in Elementary, Middle School and High School.
ASDB Regional Cooperatives partner with local school districts in Arizona. The goal of the partnership is to provide appropriate educational programs and services for students who are deaf, hard of hearing, blind, visually impaired or deaf-blind. The joint efforts of the local school and the Cooperative help these students succeed in the general education environment.
