Perinton Ambulance is a community-based non-profit organization located in the Rochester, New York metropolitan region. Our primary mission is providing advanced life support emergency medical services to the area's population of approximately 52,000 residents as well as untold number of commuters, business people, and visitors.
Our territory covers approximately 35 square miles and includes the Town of Perinton, Village of Fairport, as well as the hamlets of Egypt and Bushnell's Basin. With a fleet including five transporting ambulances, two first response vehicles, and an incident support trailer, our staff responds to over 4,800 requests for service annually.
In addition to our primary operational program, we also provide several add-on services to the community, including:
• Community Education, including health & wellness education sessions, blood pressure screenings, and more.
• Immediate Responder training of community members in CPR, First Aid, and Stop the Bleed. These programs have trained thousands since 2012.
• Child Passenger Safety events, introduced in 2019, including child safety seat inspections and installation education.
• Explorer Post 547, which provides emergency response training and an introduction to emergency services careers to youth between the ages of 14 and 21.
• Community loan closet containing canes, crutches, walkers, and wheelchairs available to residents for short term use as needed.
