About
Iowa Donor Network (IDN) is responsible for saving and enhancing lives through the incredible gifts of organ and tissue donation. As the federally designated organ procurement organization serving Iowa, IDN identifies, medically manages and places lifesaving organs from donors to recipients throughout the United States. In addition, IDN serves as the tissue recovery organization for the state and works collaboratively with the Iowa Lions Eye Bank to provide cornea donations to those who need sight restored. Our organization is regularly inspected by the Food and Drug Administration, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Resources, the Association of Organ Procurement Organizations and the American Association of Tissue Banks. IDN has a robust and innovative Professional Outreach Department that works with healthcare providers statewide to enhance organ and tissue donation programs. IDN is routinely recognized by national donation organizations as being a leader in digital marketing strategies, innovative organ and tissue recovery practices and donor family satisfaction surveys.
